Valentino Couture Spring 2009

After the expulsion of Alessandra Facchinetti as head designer at Valentino, the accessory team was promoted in her place. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have put together a collection of more classic Valentino-esque designs that are pretty safe, for the most part.

Can't get much safer than the elegant little suit or the rose-embellished dress.

I wasn't fond of Faccinetti's work at all, and think this collection is a step in the right direction.
