Fall 2008 Couture - Dior

I love couture week, when the real artistry of fashion makes an appearance down the runways of Paris. John Galliano's couture Fall 2008 collection for Christian Dior thrills me almost as much as his resortwear collection. Classic nipped waists, portrait collars, and architectural bodices were paired with somewhat naughty sheer skirts and visible granny panties. Ok, so I'm not so wild about the sheer skirts - I'm picturing an opaque pencil skirt under every one of these babies in my mind's eye. But still - lovely, delicate, feminine - and that Galliano twist at the same time.
