Resort 2010 - Badgley Mischka

Badgley Mischka is all about the party dress, and their 2010 resort collection is business as usual. Here are some of my faves.

Resort 2010 - Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera's Resort 2010 collection was full of elegance, 30s silhouettes, and lots of orange. I quite like everything, even if orange is probably my least-favorite color.

Here are my very favorites from the collection.

Resort 2010 - Isaac Mizrahi

Isaac Mizrahi sent out his 2010 Resort collection last week - it's a regular pastel-a-palooza, apart from a few black & white looks. I'm kinda loving it, apart from that yellow dress which looks like it's made from cellulite. What do you think?

YSL 2009 Resort Collection

Stefano Pilati's Resortwear collection for YSL is gorgeous, immaculately tailored, and perfect for lounging around some place called "Business Island."

So seri0us and businesslike. But fabulous. That coat is amazing. And the dress (which came in three variations) is so cute, yet perfect for the office.

The fuchsia suit was the one serious-yet-fun outfit; show up to work at
your stodgy lawfirm or brokerage in that!
The python jacket and the leather coat mean business.
Oh...I love that jacket sooo much!

The simplicity and elegance of the first dress is breathtaking.
The ruffly number is very Oscar-worthy.
As for that all-over python print - resortwear for the dominatrix.

Marc Jacobs 2009 Resort Collection

One can always count on Marc Jacobs to add a tiny bit of crazy to his collections. There's a hefty dose in his 2009 Resortwear, what with all the shiny satins and blinding color palette.

Pajamas anyone? And what's with the sloppy visor look?

Resortwear perfect for vacationing Village People, Krystle Carrington, and
Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan

These are a little more sane, although the color on that dress is a little shocking. I LOVE the strapless dress for reasons I can't explain. We've seen the gauzy heart number on Victoria Beckham recently and she was workin' it! And then we have this relatively conservative suit. I don't like the profile and tapered pants at all, but I think the jacket is great. I love a short, abbreviated-sleeve jacket.

Yigal Azrouël 2009 Resort Collection

Handsome Israeli designer Yigal Azrouël has designed the perfect Resortwear collection - for me. I would wear pretty much everything, and the wide-leg pants are really up my alley. Here are my favorites:

Draping is hot! I love the goddess-y look of these gowns, and particularly like the funky neckline on the bright blue dress.

Skinny pants (or are they really leggings?) & floaty tunic-length tops are both casual and sophisticated.

Lots of pretty ruffles and drapes in the collection. The black dress is particularly girly and lovely, and I also love the simple knotted-front dress in khaki.

Wide pants go with everything. At least in my book. These looks are more casual than those with the skinny pants because of the denim fabric, but how fancy does one need to go when hanging out on vacation?
I really like all of the green and greenish tops.
