Spring 09 Fashion Week - Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano's second Fashion Week collection shows that he can mature as a designer. Although he hasn't stepped completely away from a monochrome palette (this one featured shades of gray) and the hideously unflattering skinny pants he favors, the lad has finally learned how to design a simple dress.

And look - non-skinny pants!  And a jacket that sports neither ruffles nor puffy shoulders!

These four dresses are my favorite of the collection.  If #3 were a couple inches shorter, I can envision Heidi Klum wearing it.

Although the acid yellow color is a departure for him, the gowns have a familiar look to them, as does the black blouse and skinny pants.
