I got this in the mail today and thought it was cute.
Britain's Got Talent star Amanda Holden to judge fashion competition as the iconic butler Jeeves asks for even more wardrobe options.
Internet search engine Ask Jeeves and Nolcha: Fashion Business Services are searching for UK based aspiring designers to create even more wardrobe options for iconic butler, Jeeves.
Jeeves is traditionally known for his suited attire, but in the run up to London Fashion Week Ask Jeeves are asking all budding designers to send in their ideas for a new fashion forward look for their brand ambassador.
The winning design will be modelled by Jeeves on the Ask Jeeves homepage and supported by a theme design which will be added to the Ask Jeeves theme gallery.
The designs will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of judges and the competition provides a fantastic opportunity for the public to get their designs in front of some of the most respected names in the fashion industry. The judges include Lee Lapthorne of ON/Off, Personal Stylist Gabrielle Teare, Neely Reyes founder of Sapphires Model Management and Lynn Furge, Creative Director of Nolcha.com.
The judging panel will look at all the entries sent in and select four finalists, with Ask Jeeves users selecting the final winning design.
Also among the judges is actress Amanda Holden, of Britain's Got Talent fame, who commented: "I'm thrilled to be judging the Dress Jeeves competition. Jeeves is an iconic character and a sartorial dream. I can't wait to see entrants' creations. It's a great chance for someone to showcase their talents and create an outfit for one of the best dressed men in Britain."
Sarah Bartlett, marketing director for Ask Jeeves, said: "We are looking for the best creative and eye catching designs that showcase the designers' individual talent. The competition is open to absolutely everyone based in the UK, from professional designs and design students to the general public, the only stipulation is you must be aged 16 or over."
The competition launches on 10th February and runs to the 28th of February. For more information and terms and conditions visit at www.uk.ask.com/dressjeeves from 10th February 2010.
The Dress Jeeves competition is created in association with Nolcha.
All that said, my search engine of choice is Google. Sorry, Jeeves. :)
