Oh, so many gorgeous shoes! If I had any use for fancy shoes, could wear them, and most importantly, could afford them, these are some pairs I'd add to my collection. The Valentino Couture Platform Bow Pump and the two short booties would be the most versatile, I think.
All are available at Bergdorf Goodman.

Kate Moss' Wedding
I always felt fairly neutrally about Kate Moss. Lots of people don't "get" her, her waifish beauty, and frown upon her past drug use. I think she's a model, a darn good one, and live and let live.
I stumbled upon an article describing her wedding recently and thought to share it with you. It sounds like a gorgeous and fun experience.

Meanwhile, in Kate’s gardens, a Palm Court jazz band is playing “It Had to Be You” in the marquee, while battalions of black-and-white-clad wait staff light the votive candles hanging from fruit trees in their jam jars and antique lanterns, and artfully arrange a pyramid of champagne flutes. Paper cones filled with rose petals for the bridal couple are arranged on little cafĂ© tables, and antique wicker chairs pepper the lawn. The Second Looks Tent, for guests to change in after the ceremony, is appointed like a Hollywood boudoir with faceted mirror screens, thirties standard lamps, and dressing tables heaving with pink and beige roses.Doesn't that sound lovely?

Kelly Wearstler Ready-to-Wear
Does anyone remember Bravo's interior design competition, Top Design? I always felt that designer Kelly Wearstler, one of the regular judges, dressed like she was on crack. I might have been the only person who felt that way, because she's now put on the fashion design hat and is selling her rags at Bergdorf Goodman. Disappointingly, the collection isn't as crazy as one might imagine.
And apparently Kelly was once a Playboy centerfold. Hard to imagine that while looking at the bag of bones in the video above.

Dangle Earrings
I love dangle earrings, especially now that my hair is fairly long. While petite studs or hoops disappear, wild dangly things certainly don't hide in the hair, and offer a bright flash of metal or color. Here's a brief selection of recent favorites I've found on the Innerwebs....
I'm no fan of Padma Lakshmi, not since I was threatened with a lawsuit over an April Fool's joke, but I'm really loving these earrings of 18K and 14K gold with Peruvian opals. At Neiman Marcus - $1,100.00
I'm also liking the Oscar de la Renta carved resin drops. Interesting color combo. $290.00 at Bergdorf Goodman.
Not as fancy, and certainly more affordable, are these funky bronze and sterling dangle earrings by Etsy seller Febrarose. $69.00.
Another pair of dangles, these from Etsy seller Stonecraft, have tourmalines, sapphires, and spinels and are $325.00.
These oxidized copper beauties are also from Etsy (lots of great stuff there! check it out if you haven't already!), sold by Dawily for $20.00.

Thinking About Fragrance - Changing Tastes
One of the problems with collecting perfumes, at least for me, is that the newest additions to my vast collection are the ones I tend to wear most often. Each successive purchase usurps the position of the one before and eventually I stop wearing some fragrances altogether. Sometimes it's because I'm completely bored with it, but mostly it's because my tastes have evolved and that old scent that was once perfect is now not so much.
For instance, I'm loving my Maison Francis Kurkdjian Cologne Pour le Matin, with its lovely citrus and lavender notes (I also smell candied violet, even if it's not listed), and Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte, an amazing fresh green scent - both purchased in the late Spring. But the Ava Luxe Gardenia Musk, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, and Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca that I adored in recent Summers have been largely ignored. This is partly because I have new loves, but also partly because I'm finding these scents too sweet to be refreshing enough in this hot weather. Another old favorite - Hermes Eau de Merveilles - is wonderfully salty and not at all perfume-y or sweet, so it finds its way into the rotation once every other week or so. But still not as often as in the past.
This week I'm trying to revive my interest in the old favorites by wearing a different one every day. On Monday I broke out the Light Blue; Tuesday was Gardenia Musk. Today is Chanel Beige. Unfortunately, I'm not thrilled by any of them.
Readers who are fragrance aficionados - do you find yourself falling into the same pattern as me, or are you pretty egalitarian in using your perfume collection?
