Kate Moss' Wedding

I always felt fairly neutrally about Kate Moss. Lots of people don't "get" her, her waifish beauty, and frown upon her past drug use. I think she's a model, a darn good one, and live and let live.

I stumbled upon an article describing her wedding recently and thought to share it with you. It sounds like a gorgeous and fun experience.
Meanwhile, in Kate’s gardens, a Palm Court jazz band is playing “It Had to Be You” in the marquee, while battalions of black-and-white-clad wait staff light the votive candles hanging from fruit trees in their jam jars and antique lanterns, and artfully arrange a pyramid of champagne flutes. Paper cones filled with rose petals for the bridal couple are arranged on little cafĂ© tables, and antique wicker chairs pepper the lawn. The Second Looks Tent, for guests to change in after the ceremony, is appointed like a Hollywood boudoir with faceted mirror screens, thirties standard lamps, and dressing tables heaving with pink and beige roses.
Doesn't that sound lovely?

Another Royal Wedding

That's right, Prince Albert of Monaco - make sure camera is on you when you're kissing your new bride, Charlene.

I love Charlene Wittstock's gown - it's very plain and elegant, and more what I expected the new British royal princess to wear. My only criticism is that it doesn't seem to fit very well in the bodice.

Weddings and Shoes

Let me tell you a story about my wedding shoes. I had wanted my footwear to be the "something blue" element of my ensemble, and picked out a really cute pair of blue strappy shoes with moderately-high heels. I figured I could wear them on other occasions because they didn't look like wedding shoes. And they were the perfect height for the length of my gown.

Until my gown was altered.

When I fetched it from the bridal shop, the dress had suddenly become another inch or so longer! I wasn't about to spend the extra money to have the skirt hemmed, so I returned my blue shoes and bought a pair with higher heels. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that fit my budget, was the right height, and were blue.

Maybe my shoes weren't perfect, but my husband is. :)

Anyhoo...one of those Kardashians judged the Wedding Central If the Shoe Fits Contest in which thirty brides-to-be duked it out, searching to find eleven pairs of designer shoes among a sea of shoe-boxes. The winner received a $5,000 check and $5,000 worth of wedding consultations from Wedding Central's celebrity wedding experts.

The carnage.
I coulda bought nicer shoes if I had $5000. My whole wedding didn't cost that much.

For You Wedding Fans

WE tv has launched a new sister network, Wedding Central, the ultimate television destination for women to indulge in all things related to dating, relationships and weddings.

Taking a clue from fans, making things a bit more “fun” and building on the growing capabilities of interactive television, Wedding Central will provide viewers with multiple opportunities to interact with the network’s programming via their remotes. Participation will run the gamut from voting for their favorite bride to sharing their opinions on her favorite dress to connecting directly with local and national advertisers. Polling and quizzes will also be offered.

But there's a tricky part: you may well have to call or email your cable or satellite provider and let them know you want the Wedding Channel. Click here for a list of providers along with the best way to contact them: http://www.weddingcentral.com/get-wedding-central.

Pesonally, I think a Divorce Channel might be more exciting.
