...and their hair? These folks were attending the BAFTA Television awards, but could just as easily have been going to a retro costume-ball reunion party after the TV Land awards.
Barbara Windsor, in Chloe, with a crazy bleached updo that graced any number of women in the average late-60s TV drama. Or Dolly Parton on a fancy night.
Did trannilicious Sally Farmiloe borrow her hair from the Dynasty wig department?
Justin Lee Collins, your cocker spaniel called. He wants his hair back.

2009 TV Land Awards
The 2009 TV Land Awards were held last weekend. It's always amusing to see what old TV stars show up for the event. And kinda sad to see how bad some of them look.
Vivica A. Fox - I'm not feeling the dress, either that shade of blue on her, or the style.
Loretta Swit in costume for her latest role as a baked potato. That dress makes her look wide and stumpy.
Kellie Martin - you're not 10 anymore! You can put the little girl Easter dress back in the closet now.
Michelle Lee looks pretty terrific, at least from this distance. I always thought her eyes were too close together, but she's really looking great. From the neck up. Hate the dress.
I do like Donna Mills' dress, and she looks pretty good, too. Well, she still looks like Donna Mills, but with lots of Botox.
Beverly Johnson is 56 years old, bitches. You all wish you looked this good at 30.
Ack - this is little Eddie Munster. Sucks getting old, doesn't it? Looks like that Star Dates thing worked out for him though....
This guy is Wesley Eure, from Land of the Lost. He was also one of the Michael Hortons from Days of Our Lives. Still looks pretty cute to me.
Sorry to keep scaring you like that. :) I think they should consider Teri Hatcher for the role of Witchiepoo for any future remakes of H.R. Pufinstuf.

20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards
The GLAAD Media Awards were held on Saturday the 18th, and there was a surprising lack of fabulosity on the red carpet. Here are a few of the standouts.
Jennifer Beals really looks terrific. Not all that much changed from her Flashdance days. Love the happy sunny dress on her, too.
I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus looks kinda smashing in that orange dress, with the matching lipstick.
Kathy Griffin was presented the Vanguard award, which is given to media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

I'm still contemplating her dress. I like it, but somehow it makes her head seem to big for her body. And I think the color combination would work better on a brunette. Or on much darker skin.
Oh, sorry to scare you like that. It's just Teri Hatcher.Friday, April 17, 2009
Grey Gardens Premiere
Stars Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange pose on the red carpet at the Grey Gardens premiere.
Drew was in such a hurry to get to the party, she threw on a sheer bedsheet and some big jewelry. And nothing else.
Ali Larter seems exceptionally proud of her bony ribcage and the chasm between her breasts. Were he alive today, Evel Knievel would be making plans to jump it.

Bravo Upfronts Reveal New Programming
Bravo has been busy busy and has lots of new goodies coming up:
The Fashion Show: Isaac Mizrahi and Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland host as 15 designers compete in a weekly runway show (premiering May 7) judged by a studio audience. Each week's winning garment goes on sale to viewers online, and a popular vote picks the final victor, American Idol-style.
Launch My Line: Previously announced as Celebrity Sew-Off, this other fashion competition will pair established designers with "pop culture notables" -- stylists, music producers, choreographers, and whatnot -- who've always wanted to have their own fashion line. The winner will, yes, get his or her own line.
American Artist: Basically, Top Chef/Project Runway for artists, produced by Sarah Jessica Parker, aiming to "do for art what we've done for food, which is make it accessible," says programming exec Andy Cohen.
Currently in development are The Secret Lives of Supermodels, starring Mariel Hemingway and Maggie Rizer, and a show following former Project Runway contestant Laura Bennett. Sounds like Bravo will be an entertaining channel to watch in the year to come.

Why?
I found this on Christy Zuccarini's Baltimore Sun blog, Baltimore By Hand. It's a bra that comes with markers that are not indelible. I guess that makes them "delible," huh? In other words, you doodle on the bra, and then the design comes out in the wash, leaving a clean canvas for more doodling.
Hmm...I usually doodle on a piece of paper. I can't see myself needing to put designs on a bra. And what if I create a masterpiece? Then I won't want to wash it.
If you're into this sort of thing, you can buy it here.

Michelle Obama in Europe
More images of our First Lady on the Obama's tour of Europe. The woman likes black, and that's fine, but a little - subtle - color wouldn't hurt now and again.
The first outfit, with full black skirt, white top, and cardigan, is what she wore to visit the Queen. Suitably frumpy. I love the jacket in the second image, and she looks very long and slim. Stick to tailored looks, Mrs O - they are very flattering!
Not really excited about the coat she's wearing in the third shot, but it's not bad. I love the frothy skirt in the fourth pic, with the tiny shrunken cardigan. Man, she loves cardigans, and it looks like she has several different styles in black. She's wearing the cardigan from the Queen visit in the final shot, with that horrible bow shirt and belt combo. How does one go from looking so nice in outfit #4 to such a misstep in #5?

Bravo's A-List Awards
The A-List Awards were taped this past weekend, and tons of C- and D-list celebrities were in attendance.
Is Traci Lords anorexic now? Why does she look so much like Renee Zellweger?

Michelle Obama in London
Michelle Obama with Sarah Brown on an April 1 visit to 10 Downing Street. Brown looks boring in her blue suit and blue hose, and Mrs O is inappropriately sparkly. She looks like she's wearing a too-tight version of my mother's "formal cardigan" from the 50s, over a metallic mint green skirt. Can't tell from here, but I'm betting her eye shadow is mint green as well.
Speaking of fashion and Obama, how do you like this crazy caftan by Italian designer Gattinoni?
