Janine and her 16-year-old daughter Lilly have just moved to LA and are ready for a change. Five years ago, Lilly’s dad died, and since then, she’s been stuck in a rut both personally and when it comes to fashion. Janine thinks her daughter’s oversized sweat suits and closet full of gray clothing could use some brightening up, while Lilly thinks Mom’s “muu muus” are shapeless and sloppy, and that her impossibly frumpy style is keeping her from living a happy life as a single lady nearing the big 5-0.
As soon as stylist Luciene Salomone meets these newcomers, she knows she has a real challenge in front of her! After chatting with Janine and Lilly about what they hate about the other’s style. Janine and Lilly then meet separately with Luciene, who gives each woman some fashion advice before sending them out on their own to shop for each other.
